The Slayer
Get ready, Tybee! We’re bringing back a piece of local history with the screening of the 1982 indie horror classic, The Slayer. Filmed entirely on Tybee, this cult favorite features none other than the Tybee Post Theater—back when it was in its most run-down state—as the film’s eerie backdrop.
The story follows four young friends on a vacation to a desolate island, where strange dreams of gruesome murders by a female artist turn chillingly real when her boyfriend is found dead.
Whether you remember Tybee in the early ‘80s or you’re curious to see how far the Post Theater has come, this is a screening you won’t want to miss.
Scream (Original 1996 film)
In this film....The sleepy little town of Woodsboro just woke up screaming. There's a killer in their midst who's seen a few too many scary movies. Suddenly nobody is safe, as the psychopath stalks victims, taunts them with trivia questions, then rips them to bloody shreds. It could be anybody...
Rocky Horror Picture Show
NO PROP KITS THIS YEAR.
Dress up in your best Rocky Horror outfit!
Please DO NOT bring any outside props. We would like to keep our movie screen and historic building intact.
In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O'Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."
