What is it:
To celebrate its 10th year as an operating historic theater, the Tybee Post Theater is having a telethon fundraiser! Leaning into nostalgic events like the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon and PBS pledge drives of our past, we are putting on a 10 hour live streamed telethon to raise funds for the Tybee Post Theater, a 501(c)3 historic theater.
When is it:
The Tybee Post Telethon will be held on Saturday September 27th from 12:00pm-10:00pm. It will be general admission live at the theater from 12pm-7:00pm followed by a ticketed music concert from 8:00pm-10:00pm.
Where can I watch it:
The theater is open to general admission from 12pm-7pm to watch it live in our theater. Come and go as you please and also enjoy our lawn party that will be happening in front of the theater. The 8:00 pm concert will be ticketed
The FULL 10 HOURS of the telethon will be live streamed online on our Tybee Post Website, our social media accounts, and Youtube. No matter where you are in the world, you can tune in!
What happens during a telethon:
The telethon is a marathon production of entertainment like musicians, actors, dancers, comedians and more. We also have skits, special guest speakers, and donor presentations (remember, it’s a fundraiser!)
How can I contribute to the telethon:
There are many ways to contribute. You can be a sponsor, there are various levels to choose from. You can donate before or during the telethon on our website. We will have amazing merch like tote bags and shirts you can order. All going towards our fundraising goal!
What about this lawn party:
During the telethon we will have a lawn party in front of the theater! This is a family friendly event and we will have games and activities for the kids, a food truck (Philly Boyz!!) and vendors to keep you busy!
